Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Mignori uses, what it stores, and what it does not collect.
Mignori is designed with privacy in mind: it does not track you, profile you, or share your information with anyone.
1. How Mignori Works
Mignori is essentially a specialized web browser for imageboards.
Because of this, it behaves like any normal browser when you connect to servers you add to the app.
The app does not:
- track your activity,
- collect analytics,
- upload your data,
- or send information to our servers (we do not run any).
Your interactions remain between you and the servers you choose to use.
2. HTTP Requests to Third-Party Servers
When you add an imageboard (or any server) to Mignori, the app communicates directly with that server.
These requests may include:
- Your external IP address
- Standard HTTP headers
- A User-Agent string (customizable per server)
- Request parameters defined by the imageboard software
These are normal browser behaviors.
We have no control over the servers you connect to.
We cannot delete data those servers may store about your access.
Please review the privacy policies of the imageboards you choose to visit.
3. External Files and Data Fetching
The app may fetch small JSON metadata files from third-party sources for certain features.
For example, a JSON file hosted on GitHub may be used to display available In-App Purchases in the shop.
Third-party services may log your request according to their own privacy policies.
Mignori does not store or process these requests.
4. Local Data and In-App Content
Mignori generates and stores most of its internal data entirely on your device.
Locally stored information may include:
- User-saved content within Mignori
- Tags used for autocomplete
- Custom tags and tag lists
- Server configurations and preferences
Nothing in this category leaves your device unless iCloud Sync is enabled (see below).
Autocomplete tags are generated from posts you retrieve, not downloaded from a third party.
5. iCloud Usage
If you enable iCloud Sync, Mignori stores certain data in your private iCloud storage.
Only you (and anyone with access to your Apple ID) can read this data.
Mignori may store in iCloud:
- Saved posts metadata
- User-saved media stored within Mignori, including booru post image thumbnails, sample-sized images (when provided by the source), and full-size images
- Custom tags and tag lists
- Servers you’ve added to the app
- Tag autocomplete database
- User-configured server settings, including HTTP headers and query parameters (such as API keys, when provided)
By using iCloud Sync, you agree to Apple’s iCloud and Privacy Policies.
6. In-App Purchases
Mignori uses StoreKit for purchases.
We do not have access to:
- your Apple ID email,
- billing info,
- personal details,
- or any identifying information.
Apple processes payments entirely.
7. Telemetry, Analytics, and Ads
The Mignori app does not include any:
- analytics SDKs
- tracking frameworks
- ads
- fingerprinting
- behavioral profiling
The only crash or diagnostic information related to the app that we may receive is:
- anonymous
- controlled by your iOS system setting
- and available only if you opt in to “Share with App Developers.”
If analytics are added to the Mignori app in the future, they will be implemented in a privacy-preserving way, without cross-app tracking, fingerprinting, or user profiling.
The Mignori website uses Google Analytics to understand general traffic and usage patterns.
This analytics is limited to the website and is not connected to the Mignori app or its data.
If you disable iOS analytics, we receive nothing.
8. App Permissions
Mignori may request permission to:
- save images to your Photos library
This permission is used only when you manually choose to save an image.
Mignori never reads or scans your photo library.
If you deny this permission, the app will continue to work normally (except for saving images).
9. TestFlight Beta Program
If you join the TestFlight beta:
- We can see crash counts, session counts, install dates, and device type (Apple’s default diagnostic fields).
- If you join using a public link, we cannot see your Apple ID email.
- If you require manual addition, your Apple ID email becomes visible to us inside TestFlight.
We do not store your real name unless you explicitly provide it.
We do not share your information with third parties.
Leaving the beta removes your email from TestFlight and you will no longer have access to beta builds.
10. NSFW and Content Responsibility
Mignori displays content retrieved from servers that you choose.
We do not host or provide any content.
You are responsible for:
- the servers you add,
- the content you browse,
- and ensuring you follow local laws and the policies of the imageboards you visit.
Mignori does not filter or censor external content.
11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app evolves.
